New ign. coil

If I put a new ignition coil on my car with an older opti will that cause it to fail?

Re: New ign. coil

no, although an aftermarket coil such as a MSD can help to wear out the opti.

Re: New ign. coil

Although I guess the MSD coil could add more wear on the opti, I've always been told that the MSD coils themselves are actually prone to failure. Might just wanna throw an OEM coil on there.
