New Headers?

Hey guys,

So..its been awhile since I've posted but I have a 93 camaro Z28. It has ceramin coated MAC headers from way back in the day I modded my camaro. Probably back in 1999 or so. Anyways, its been a good 15 years, and the ceramic coated headers are rusting. Guess age does that to them eh? A few other things are rusting too, like my blaster coil, but it is what it is I guess. Car just sits in garage 24/7.

Is there anything that can be done about this, or should I just get some new MAC headers? Do they even make them for a 93 anymore?

Thanks in advance.

Re: New Headers?

I would get them re-coated like rudedog suggested. Be alot cheaper than buying new ones.
As far as I know your headers are still made. I bought a set of used mac headers two years ago with no y pipe for my 93 LT1 Formula Firehawk. I ordered one from Mac with no issues.

Re: New Headers?

Thanks guys. I reached out to Jet-Hot and got a quote for about $300. Although, I don't think that includes the Y pipe, but I guess I don't need to coat that.

I guess the next challenge is removing the MAC headers. Its been awhile since I've gotten another my car. Since the late 1990's so I hope I can figure it out. Specially if I need to ship them off to get coated. Argh
