no worrys ill get things straightend out. its not plugs and wires im sure of that. might help some if i installed my o2 sensors. dont have them on there burnt the stock clips on the headers. so when i get a warm day ive got some extensions that ill solder to the wiring harness and put some bungs on the headers. but still should do its thing without it, did just fine with my old hotcam.

Your car looks to be "pig rich" at idle. Those injectors belong on a 500 hp motor. Get some 30# Svo red tops. Dont waste your $ on a mail order tune. Put it twards a dyno tune.

i might get another set of spark plugs, because i gaped these to .035. so im going to try some stockers i think at .050 because this backfire came from me swaping plugs or the new tune. before i had the tune and old plugs even with my hotcam tune it was totally differnt, no backfires or reving ect... im going to try some differnt plugs

All that money for h/c and a 383 and you can't afford a belt? I could look at the tune for you as well, but IMHO, I don't think it's the tune. The car is loading up bad and still sounded like it was struggling when you were revving it (higher than 1,500 to 2,000 rpm). Pull the plugs and see what they look like. Something is definitely wrong.

Could be the lash on the valves. How did you adjust the rockers?

Low oil pressure problem?

How low is your oil pressure? I use an M1-302 Mobil1 filter and my pressure increased 5psi and more just from that. At 240 operating temp at an idle speed of 800rpm, my oil pressure is 20 to 25psi. With the dinky stock sized filter, it was barely 15psi fully heated. Also, at my cam install, I ran 5-30 Castrol oil for the first fifteen minutes worth of running before dumping it out. Then I poured in 15-40 Shell Rotella ( diesel high additive oil ) for the next two hours worth of running. Then I finally put in Mobil1 10-30 and a new M1-302 filter. The big Mobil filter looks like it has nearly triple the capacity, which I think cuts restriction to nil, allowing the higher psi of oil. If you have the factory cooler, that can sometimes drop oil pressure by 10 to 15psi, especially if the cooler has internal buildups.Sorry, but your car sounded good only before you rev'ed it. More work required here.

im bettin i fouled the plugs againnn so im going to pull some and investigate. i need new wires but its too cold for all that.

the oil was super low, at startup we had 40psi but then it went to ****, but i went to the 0-w3 and swaped filters and when it was warmed up it seemed like it had higher pressure. but i wont know till i drive it today

Operating temperature is definitely not 240*.

IMHO, I don't think I'd drive it with it loading up that bad and revving so terribly.

well fouled another set of plugs, is there anyway to get around fouling plugs without going to smaller injectors? i mean cant a tune compensate for that?
