how do you guys get those 60's? i'm about the same in mods except my heads are all stock.
my best n/a is:
60' 1.843
1/8 8.03 @87.02mph
1/4 12.406 @113.03mph
w/n20
60' 1.768
1/8 7.51 @95.94mph
1/4 12.406 @123.60mph
thats with 11lbs in the streets leaving at 3000 rpm i don't have a 12bolt yet.
i have to spray a 100 shot just to 60' what you guys do. what am i doing wrong?or do i just suck with an m6?

Man, thats awesome. That makes me really happy too, cuz before my motor went, I had the same exact setup as you but with home ported heads and shorties. I ran a 13.2 @ 109.?? with a 2.3 60'. I knew I had lots more ET in it with that MPH but I didnt think it had 12.30s. Sweet times though!

Thumbs up

The ET streets are taller than the street tires, so they gear the car up like having smaller ratio rear gear...thus losing some MPH. The aftermarket torque converter sucks some power too, as does the fact its an automatic.

With my old combo, 320rwhp I ran 105mph, so 50hp got me almost 5 addtional MPH in the 1/4.
Your times are good. I see no problem with that. It will get better too. Also you need to stall up that converter more. I would push it until it starts to roll through the brakes... Trust me. I was cutting 1.72 - 1.78 60' times when I stalled my Vig like you did then my buddie told me to push the crap out of it & stall it up to at least 2000 rpms. He was right. I consistantly cut 1.61 - 1.64 60' times on ET Streets at around 17PSI...

Nice job.....

I just got my heads back from Lloyd. I was running 12.46 with the stock heads. I can't wait to see what Lloyd's heads will do.

That mph is just fine for an automatic...don't forget it's not an m6.

Last time on the dyno as I said it left the shop tuned to 13.6 AFR....with that VERY same tune it pulled 107.5 mph that night. I richened it up and the next run was 108.70. That was on July 26. So I think the AFR is right on now, I just don't have the dyno sheet to prove it.

I want to get back on the dyno though just to see, it may still need a tad more fuel but I think its really close. I think it has 370rear wheel in it with the correct AFR.

You should see 370 out of it. If you look at my sig, click on the black car, and go to the dyno charts page. That was my first chip and pull on the dyno, and we made 375/363 with a 14.0 up top. It (A/F) was nailed up to about 4200 rpm. If you're running a little lean like that, you should get there.

What does your torque curve look like? If it's anything like mine, you should see a higher trap. I'm expecting about a 114-115 trap speed, and I wouldn't think that a stalled A4 would be too far behind.

Hmm those times look kinda off. I went 12.3's with stock heads and a CC305 in 95+ degree weather through a full exhaust and with the same stall. I also was trapping 110. The only diff I see is that I had a set of welds on. The car at the time dynoed 324 rwhp with PCMFORLESS tuning.

Didn't get a tq reading on the dyno...at least not a good one. The inductive pick up deal couldn't get a spark signal so I didn't get an RPM readout....they said its common when the car spools up the drums so fast they can't get a reading. It showed 330tq but that was near the HP peak...it should be more at lower RPMs.

I'm going to flash a dyno-ony program next time that will keep the car in 3rd gear so I can get a full RPM range pull on the dyno and it should be able to read the RPM that way.

Those times look nice!

One thing though, I noticed you were only picking up 20mph from the 1/8 to the 1/4, do you think that's because of running the larger ET streets?

That may be John, I hadn't thought about it. I lose about 1mph usually in the 1/4 with the ET's vs. street tires just because they are so much taller.

You should have gone up, the temp was awesome, it actually got a little chilly.

Yea I wish I could have made it, but I had no idea anyone was going up. I did see Tim in bellevue at the show, there were a few things going on out there I guess I'll be out there on the 20th after work........ I think a few people might go up there from this side of town.
