New Engine: Do I have cam surge?

Just got my new blower motor put in.

355.
Mildly ported heads.
224/232 113 LSA .565/.574
1.6 roller rockers
Tuned by PCM for Less

I have surging only at light throttle in all gears at 1700-2200 rpms. Is this cam surge. I didnt think I would get cam surge with such a small cam.

Brett you out there?

Call PCMForless and see what they say. Sounds like your tip in fuel is lean.

Doesn't sound like cam surge.

Easily cured with programming; Jeff Creech cured mine.

Sounds like cam surge to me. You can tune it out. Play with with the timing and see what it likes.

You should be able to tune out whatever problems you have with that cam.

I have slight cam surge with my hot cam and it's only 218int/228exh. PCMFORLESS tuned twice second time with slight timing change improved somewhat but it still there mostly in first and second under 2000rpm steady throttle only. I can let it drop to 1000rpm and accelerate moderately no bucking or surge while accelerating 1000rpm and up. Makes me think I have a lean condition when the throttle is just barely opened under no load. Others with the hot cam in M6 cars say they have noticed some cam surge as well. I have adjusted my driving habits to avoid conditions that can allow the surge to occur. My wife's M6 is stock and she claims I have ruined my car with this cam ha! ha! keeps her driving her own car!! I think I will leave mine like it is You might get some of the surge out with tuning but I would be surprised if you still don't notice something under 2000rpm. steady throttle. If you are successful please let me know what worked for your application.
