New Dyno #'s - XE 224/230

326rwhp & 318rwtq SAE

Stock heads, stock injectors, stock bottom end, A4 (2400 stall), 3.73's, pcmforless, 115k miles on the clock. Bryan was on hand this afternoon for dyno tuning, but after two pulls checking A/F, there was no need to tweak it.

Another for www.pcmforless.com ! Not too shabby for a cam & bolt-on's A4 with a mail order tune..

Thanks! Unfortunately, I've never been to the track.. Maybe next year. It probably wouldn't produce any extraordinary time slips given the mild stall (mostly a daily driver), but I wouldn't mind finding out what it'd do.

I have the same cam and ported heads I only made 303 rwhp and 326 rwtq so nice job but I do need some more tuneing. had over 7* of KR. my car ran a 7.90 on street tires 8th mile.

You definitely have a lot more in there once you get everything sorted.. The only thing I hate about going to the dyno is going home thinking "that was fun, but if I had some AFR's, a bigger cam, maybe some bigger injectors.." It absolutely never ends. Good fun

jkipp84,

Do you have headers? What is your exhaust setup?

Rodrigues,

What was your max TQ? That is what matters.

Headers are RK Sport (same dimensions as AS&M but not quite as spiffy, much cheaper), Random Tech cat and cat-back, Holley CAI, 52mm ported stock TB, 1.6 non-s/a pro mags, CSI. The opti, plugs, and wires are about 6 months old. I do have an ORP, but I didn't run it this time.. I may try it out and see if there's anything to be gained.

The heads will definitely be done.. but given the $$ involved, it's probably not going to be any time soon (we've got a new born).

aren't those numbers a little low? i thought the the hotcam cars were getting around 310-320 whp with headers, intake? i was hoping for closer to 340-350whp...now i'm really dissappointed. i shoulda gone cc306.

Damn that seems kinda low to me

And he said no tuning was necessary ? That sounds pretty suspect to me. There is ALWAYS tuning necessary it seems like.
