New Dyno - opinions needed

http://eck.cjb.net/dyno.jpg

There's my dyno from last week. First off, what do you guys think of the numbers? I thought they were pretty close to what they should be. Now I'm trying to think of more bolt-ons to get to 300 RWHP. Soon to come is a March underdrive pulley and a 160 thermostat, though I know those won't get me there. Anything else I could do?

Alright onto the real question. As you can see, my A/F ratio is a constant 13.9 to 14.0. The guy at the dyno said this was good for performance but was really hard on the engine as it makes it very hot, so he recommended that I get it re-tuned to run closer to 13.5 so I don't have problems in the future. A mechanic that I talked to said 14.0 should be fine. Should I get it re-tuned or am I good where it's at?

One more question -- Since my engine is reaching maximum HP right at 5200 rpms, would it be logical to set the shift points at that rpm also, or slightly after? Currently, it shifts around 5500 rpms.

If you put more fuel in it the torque will jump up, you should pick up a few pony's, the car will be smoother note the rough graph, and it will be safer.

We usually limit street cars to 13.2 or so.

Looks about right for your mods, but the hand written crank HP and TQ numbers are WAYYYYYY off.

Your a/f is pretty far off. I would re-tune it to 13.0:1

Your shift point should be at least 5700 rpm

The dyno tech wrote that. He was using a 20% estimate power loss for an automatic transmission. I've heard anywhere from 15-20% loss is accurate for automatics, and around 5% lower for manuals.

looks pretty good for an a4 with cai, headers, and a tune, torque looks especially strong...dont buy the pulley not many people have had good results with them, an e-cutout would be money better spent

Your air fuel ratio is lean. Don't know why yet, but it needs to be a bit richer. Drop me a line with your email address so I can look up your tune. Thanks.

Well considering that most A4's dyno around 245rwhp and are rated at 285 flywheel hp, that's 14% drivetrain loss. That puts you at 327 fwhp and 379 fwtq, not 352 fwhp 408 fwtq. Still pretty strong. You have to love the TQ.
