New bolt-on times

Unfortunately I didn't make it into the 12's . My best pass was...

60' 2.019
1/8 8.500
mph was not working
1000 10.967
1/4 13.065
MPH 108.02

I still have stock gears and can't get this thing to launch worth a damn. Here is a video of the run. I am in the left lane. Thanks for the video Robert.

Should probably right click save as.

Awesome numbers, especially that trap speed.

I think my biggest gain was from the 1.7 rockers, but I would recommend that you get pro mag 1.6's. You will make nearly the same amount of power and you will have more options if you ever decide to do a cam. The promags are also lighter and will require less modification to the valvecovers. I only gained 1 mph from my LT's. Pissed me off! lol

Very nice times, I assume you were running on street tires?

Re: New bolt-on times

Thanks Faded. Not doing too bad. If I had some 4.10's I have no doubt I would be able to pull out some 12.6-12.7 as it sits.

2000GTP,
I had ET streets on the car, but I have stock gears and I really don't think anything lower than a mid 1.9 is possible. The car severly bogs when I hook so I try not to get them too hot and spin them a little, but I still don't get lower than 2.0's. On my best pass I launched at about 4500 and bogged a little bit.

Damn, you're trapping higher than me and I have a cam! I'm sure the mediocre weather and lack of LT's(Edelbrock shorties on there now) aren't helping me, but still, that's damn impressive! Do you have a bigger TB on there, or the stock one?

Thanks for the compliments. I'm still have a stock TB. I actually gained less than 1mph with my LT's and I deleted my cats at the same time. I would probably be going nearly the same times with the manifolds and cats.

Wow, very impressive indeed! What does your car weigh? Have you done much lightening at all? The last time I scaled mine, before the SFC's and STB, it was 3,700 with me in it, so I would imagine it was 3,750 when I got those times.

Re: New bolt-on times

The car weighed 3670 without the spare/jack and not much gas last time I weighed it. This time out I had skinnies (45lbs), ET Streets (15lbs), took off the catback and replaced with an 18" bullet (30lbs), and the backseats (20lbs). Thats it for weight reduction. So my raceweight was about 3560 this time out.

Re: New bolt-on times

I was wondering, i have a 93 that runs 8.5 in the 8th mile aswell, but in the quarter i only was able to do a 13.5 last time i ran. You must have alot more top end power then me, i had a 1.968 60 so me and u are same out of the whole and in the 8th. Maybe its ur long tubes, although i do have 1 and 3/4 shorties and 3 inch with flowmaster. I dunno thats awsome times though good job man!

Re: New bolt-on times

Well it looks like you have an auto, which will usually give you a better pull in the first 1/8 but fall of at the top of the track. A 6 speed is more efficient and will usually have more pull in the last 1/8. As I stated above I really didn't gain much at all from the lt's and probably would run nearly the same times with the manifolds.
