New best E/T...all bolt ons

The local track is finally back open and made it out to give the car a try with some new mods...

1st pass:
60' - 2.166 (spun my *** off, was suprised it was even a 2.1)
1/4 - 13.482 @ 106.35 MPH

2nd pass:
60' - 2.122 (spun again...)
1/4 - 13.32 @ 107.1 MPH

Mods are Jet-Hot LT's, ORY, full 3" catback w/ spintech muffler, SLP CAI, 4.10s, 1.6rr's, spec stg 2 clutch.

Race weight was 3450lbs
Car weight without me was 3295lbs...im a skinny murf, I know

I know I need some tires (was run on bald 275/40/17 kumho 712s), but I was pretty pleased with my times considering my horrible traction. I was really suprised with the MPH. I was hoping for 105 and was really happy with the 106 and couldn't believe the 107.

What ya guys think...think 12s are possible with traction? I think I could get REALLY close atleast.

If I can run a 12.8 @ 108 with headers, gears, free/cheap mods and drag radials, I'm sure you can do the same with more modifications.

Awesome times matt! I'm glad to see your car getting to where you want it. I KNOW it has some 12s in it!

u have 2-3 mph on me. so i am pretty sure u can do it. atleast a 12.9 is capable, try to do it while the weather is still good. and some sticky tires will be all thats needed!
good luck

Looks like 1.8 60's (very doable), even a 1.9 maybe, will get you into the 12s!! Your 107 trap speed is great. Get some DRs on there and have at it!!

What kind of exhaust do you have after the headers? I'm asking because I've got the crappy, restrictive stock exhaust after the ypipe with a flowmaster muffler. If I want to see the gains from the headers, I need to free that up badly.

if my 4100# imp can run a 12.97 with only 102.6mph, then surely you can get the same ET or better with 4.5 more MPH It's all in the sixty foot!

More seat time and a set of tires should do the trick. Nice runs.
