New best bolt-on times!

...well sort of. New best 60' and a new best 1/8.

Due to the new converter, I was SERIOUSLY lacking in the MPH department, but E.Ts. were close to where they should be. The converter is a Midwest 3600, and it's pretty loose. Also, my Eaton decided to take a crap on me, so I'm one-legged.

The best 1/4 run of the night was only a 13.05 @ 103.03 (highest MPH of the night, lowest was a 102.76...was trapping 107, 108 with the stock converter), but I managed a new best one-legged 60' of 1.76 on one drag radial, and a new best 1/8 time of 8.25. Seems my car has the torque going on, but the back half of the track isn't pulling so well. It's most likely the converter, because I know I'm overstalled at the moment (but it will match perfectly with the cam).

Here's video of the 13.05 run.

I also nailed a perfect reaction time... .500.

All in all...I'm kind of happy, but it looks like I have some serious work to do. Need to get that MPH back up, and actually have TWO wheels with traction.

"here he comes ladys and gentelmen flying across the traps at an astonishing 137 mph just beating out that supra for a 12.6sec time slip!"

I'm curious too! I'm going to have the carrier rebuilt, and hopefully be back sooner or later.

Hey Joe quick question...did you rear give you any warning that it was going out...cuz I can't fishtail anymore (only one tire will spin on a turn if I floor it) but at the track when I'm going straight they always both spin. I was thinking maybe it's on the way out or something. Any ideas?

I knew it was slowly going out...mostly being a screeching sound during a burnout a few weeks ago...then chattering. I knew it was going to go out awhile ago, just a matter of time.

Luckily EATONs are rebuildable, and only cost $40 to rebuild ($80 for 800# springs).

They run from anywhere between $350 and $400 bucks. eBay has quite a few of them right now. They're worth it!

Dang Joe, isn't that something like the 4th rear you've broken something in now???

Nice times man, get that thing running 100% and toss in that cam, and let's go head to head. Should be close since I have a street twin and no slicks or 12 bolt.

I am relaying a message for IllusionalTA, he is out at sea with the Navy, so I send him the lastest webpages via email, then he requests what messages to forward!

He said "congrats on the new time and great 60 foot, hurry up and put that new cam in!"

The PRO classes run off of a .400 tree and the amateurs, like Joe, use a .500 tree.
