New Best with AI heads and cam

1.740
7.967 at 86.420
12.538 at 107.300

Raceweight of something over 4250 with about 19gallons of fuel in it, whoops 23gallon tank I had filled 70 miles beforehand, made for more consistent 1.7s though.

This is with maybe an hour cooldown BUT I ran 12.5 two more times after this hot lapping, I haven't looked up the weather but it was a nice evening 60s and not too humid.

Advanced Induction 190cc heads with the Ferrea valves
custom AI cam(not a Comp) slightly bigger than the Comp 503 lift with 1.6s is mid .500s lift with 1.6 ProMagnums
Street ported Intake by AI
On a stock 97k mile shortblock
email tuning by Jeff Creech still a work in progress.
58mm TB
1 5/8" midlength headers 2.5" x-pipe to Dynomax UltraFlo mufflers and resonators make it the quietest mid 12 second car at the track, and uncorking the headers only picked up a few hundredths when I tried it a month or so ago
3400 Stall ProEdge ProBuilt Automatics 4L60E and 3.73s
Think the next mod will be some shorter slicks on lighter wheels, the current tire/rim combo is 48lbs and I am going through the traps at about 5300rpms. I can shave a easy 10lbs apiece out of the rims and I want a shorter tire to improve gearing. I do not want to go deeper on the axle gears because I have been daily driving this thing 300miles a week on county roads.

Re: New Best

Thank you.
A friend who helped me do much of the recent work brought his 68 Camaro with 450hp 502crate motor he was on street tires so his ETs mean nothing but he was trapping at 102mph. He was at the same time happy and discusted, my car is almost like his best learning tool because he plans on diving deep into his own Caprice and he sees what a well thought out setup can do, but then he has $$$$ sunk into a lighter big block car and is slower.

His Camaro is more of a show car, only second time at the strip with the 502, but the MPH still tells a story and not one he likes.
