I just installed a new alternater and my car seems to be starting rough. Any thoughts?

 

I would imagine that you disconnected the battery to replace the alt. Give your computer some time to relearn after the power outage.

 

Is your battery was discharged & weak from the bad alternator? You should charge it with a battery charger if it is. The alternator is not designed to charge a weak/dead battery but to maintain a battery. This gets an alternator hot & sucks the life right out of it.
