New Accel ignition problems.. please help!

O.K. I have a brand new Accel 300+ that I put on my 94 Z28 today. I mounted the box, swapped the coils, put the ground with the other grounds on the coil mounting bracket, Slid the stock connector and the accel connecter together and put them on the coil and took the other stock connector and slid it on the accel in connection. I left the other tach wire loose. Is that the right way?? Because every time I try to crank it it frys the 10 amp under hood ignition fuse with never firing. I was going to try it with both the stock connections going into the accel and just the one new connector from the ignition going into the coil and also try it without the ignition and the stock plugs on the coil, but I only had one extra fuse so I have not got to try other combos. I need to go get some, but I figured if there was anyone on here who could tell me WTF I would save some trouble. Thanks for any help..

I saw this post earlier but could not remember my setup, now I just finished putzin with my coil wire and I only have one connector goin into the coil so you may want to reverse your setup.
Did the ignition not come with instructions?
I have had mine in there for years but I know it installed pretty easy, pretty much plug and play. Did not have to splice anything or nothin just followed the instructions and plugged it in.

The instructions say to plug the stock connector into the one harness and the new conector to the coil, but it's not clear if you move both the stock connectors or just the one that comes out of the accel into the coil. I figured plug and play 20 minute job.. but this seems to be the way everything goes on this damn car. 20 minuters later I'm cranking on a car that now won't run. I'm going to get some fuses and try the other way today. Thanks.

the setup should be your old coil and tach plugs connect into the new Accel wiring harness that goes to the box, then the new connector from the ignition box goes to the coil...the green (i believe thats the color) wire for the tach that doesnt have a connector on it is for an aftermarket tach, and thus is not used for a stock dash setup. I had the same problem with the fuse under the hood, I think it had something to do with the ground cable, but I'm not really sure, it just went away after the first time, when I took out and re-installed my set up. Hope this helps you.
