New 355 setup idle vid.

I rebuilt my bottom end and slid in a new cam. Hopefully I can improve on my times a good bit. Alot of changes went on with the car along with the fresh motor. Cam is 263/272 Allan Futral designed Cam motion setup. Excuse the smoke, I hadn't hooked up my map yet so it was running kinda rich. This is at 1100 rpm idle and through hooker headers with bullet mufflers hung off the collectors with dumps. Also..excuse the mess in the garage..I'm building a new shop out back and had to clear out my old one..I got crap everywhere..lol.

Sounds awesome! Did you make any significant changes to the bottom end when you rebuilt it?

mean...yeap..it would bring tears to your eyes..lol. Its all fixed now with the map hooked up.

Micheal... I was really suprised about how much more it had than my old cam considering thats its only slightly bigger at 50 deg. We all know there is more to a cam that @ 50 though..hehe. Allan and Terry at futral motorsports came up with this cam....we will see how much it helps me reach my goal

Grease, no changes to the bottom end. Same rods/pistons/crank as the old motor. Just reringed it and put new bearings/bolts/studs in it. Significant changes this round would be the cam change and put a single plane with top mount 4 bbl TB on it. I also made some changes to the car that should help it run just alittle better..hehe.

thanks everyone. I'm going to see if I can get a NA 6 speed pass. Will still be using gm heads(lt4), stock crank, 2 bolt block...we will see how it goes.
