Needing ideas...new goal of 11.28 all motor

Current best is 11.710 at 116.76 in 2350da with a 1.653 60ft. I'm shooting to beat SAR's time(11.29 at 119, I believe) with my small cam. I don't have a good reason for beating his time other than I needed a goal and we're both on stock bottem ends. Current mods are in the sig.

Plans before running again are: transmission rebuilt with shiftkit and upping the stall to 3500(running 3000 stall and stock tranny now), switching to et drags from et streets, aftermarket torque arm, hal shocks/springs up front, comp engineering shocks in back, remove a/c, 52mm tb, electric waterpump, remove all exhaust after headers(should be a good weight savings), and no other weight will be removed from the car. I know I'll need good weather and I'm hoping my 60ft comes down to low 1.5x's. I'm running at 800ft elevation, and will be hoping to beat his time once I get some 0-400da. Think its possible and does anyone have any other ideas?

Retune the computer for the increased flow and higher stall/line pressures.

I forgot to add that to the list but yes it will be retuned with everything.

You might check with Bret and see if his LTWonder intake is ready yet.

I'd love to have that, but I'm budget racing.

Maybe a dyno tune?

PCM4less does a great job, but can only get so close without physically having the car.

I really do need less DA and weight. Gear is perfect IMO, I cross traps right at 6100, and after everything should still be crossing in the very top of 3rd(~6500).

Good move on upping the stall. Honestly I'd go 3600 to 3800. Drop some weight out of the car if you can.

Hell, spending all that money, it would almost be cheaper to get a blower. Unless you don't consider that "all motor"

Blower isn't "all motor" its forced induction. Also, if I would've went blower route I would've spent more money and had a ticking time bomb.

Since the cam I'm running is so small, I don't want too high of a stall. I was also daily driving this car up until about a week ago when the tranmission started to slip. Thanks for the advice though. I know its going to take everything to be perfect to beat your time, but I needed a goal.

FWIW... I was running a 3600 Vigilante with my stock cam... went consistent 1.55 sixty foot times. Best of 1.53. If you're going to hit 11's you'll have to 60' like a rocket or your chances are very slim. The 3600 was great on the street and the mileage difference from the 2800 was minimal. Car was still great on the interstate too.

don't go down the track unless there is at least a mild tailwind.
