needing help finding a good piston

ive been looking for a good piston to use with the (LE2.5) p&p heads and cam i'm going to get. okay, ive been talking to Lloyd and he gave me a recommendation on what to look into. I can either call summit and ask them for advice or I can ask you guys. I figured I'd try you guys first. Ill post what Lloyd wrote me and if any of you know which pistons would fit the bill I would appreciate it. Also, I need to look into a good set of rods to go with the set.

"If you decide to get some decent rods and pistons, just get a flat top with a -4 cc valve relief and we will still be good for pump gas and everything will work great. If you get a piston that has a taller compression ht. and comes close to the top of the block, that is a plus as well. We want the quench to be as close to .040 as possible so as long as the piston is .010 in the hole or more, use a, (.029) Impala head gasket. If it is closer to the top of the block than that, use a (.040) Fel Pro 1074 gasket. The stock piston is about 025 sown in the bore at TDC so ANYTHING is an improvement. replacing the rods and pistons are a good idea if it is in the budget. if not, just the stock parts will handle the abuse as long as the machine work is correct and assembly is correct."

Sorry to sound like a retard here but I'm trying to learn as much as I can through this project and still havent mastered everything yet. Thanks guys.
Dave

It depends on the budget, you can get speed-pro pistons which will work with your stock rods and are forged and has single reliefe for added compression for a reasonable price. You can have JE's with full floating pins for around 600.
If your block is decked then go with the felpro 1074 which has a compressed thickness of 0.039", if not, use the impala gasket for a tighter and more ideal quench distance.

okay, I talked to summit and he recommended the Keith Black Hypereutectic pistons for my application.
found here:

and the total seal rings (tsrt9090) to go with those pistons. Also he advised me to use the summit stage 2 rod or the summit H beams for my car. Does this sound like an alright setup? I can afford a better set if needed but if these will work well, i might as well stay cheeper. thanks.
