Here's what I got:
  • Heads/Cam - I've got Lloyd's LE2 package... Awesome power. (No Dyno yet)
  • Timing Chain - Cloyes Std. SBC Double Roller. (You will need E-Waterpump)
  • Injectors - 36lb. SVO
  • Fuel Pump - Walbro 255
  • TQ - Still working on that one. Right now I have a PI Vigilante 2800... but I don't think it's the optimal one for my new setup.

Check out my cardomain site for more details. There are a number of things that I would like to have done differently. i.e. I wish I had splayed main caps... but oh well. Do a lot of research before commiting to anything.

Most F-bodys have 2-bolt mains. 4-bolt mains are generally stronger. It's debatable that the 2-bolt is just as "strong" as the 4-bolt when the bolts are all straight into the block... so... when you splay (angle) the bolt holes, you guarantee a stronger bottom end.

I haven't dynoed my car, but by all accounts I should be making in the low to mid 400rwhp area. I'm planning on a 200 shot of nitrous, so I'm going to be making a lot of power. I wish I had the extra insurance of the splayed caps.

An Eagle crank with JE pistons?

Look, I don't want to cast any unfounded aspersions about your parts selection process but I have a suggestion.

Shop around with every crate engine seller you can find. Look at the HP levels in each engine and LOOK at what parts they are using at each power level.

Once you have done that, you can probably answer all your own BASIC questions and then be able to drill down with more advanced questions.

Two other things to do:

1) Decide what your goal is. It shouldn't be "I want 500rwhp" either...
What do you DO with your car? What do you WANT to do with it? What is going to make you happy? You need to decide this because this is an expensive f*ckin' hobby.

2) What is your real budget and over what period of time? Maybe you can spend $2000 now and another $2000 over the course of the rest of the year.
You need to know this not just so you can decide what you can afford to buy, but also so you can plan the PROCESS.

On the crate engine thing, begin with Golen. They have a wide range to look at. Slso check out Scoggin-Dickey, Jegs, Summit & PAW.

^ ----+1: Also, you should be considering what you can AFFORD to do, a serious engine build easily surpases $10K. hell I have $12K+ in mine and that is just the engine. You gotta compare what you WANT to what you can AFFORD
