I have Replaced: OptiSpark, Plugs & Wires, New EGR Valve, IAT Sensor, Cleaned Throttle body, Cleaned PVC Valve.

I have 76K miles on my 1997Z28!

Well, if your fuel pressure is ok, then you might check your coil.JMHO.

Did you replace these things before or because of the hard starting?

If before, then you need to make sure that all the items that you changed were done correctly.

E.g., are your plugs gapped correctly? They should be .050 NA. Oftimes the plugs don't come with the correct gap. Just a thought.

Before I even read the replies that was exactly what I ws thinking. If you are sure you gapped them right, I would go straight to the coil. Then go from there.

Hi Guys!

I let my local Chevy dealer where I used to work change the plugs & Wires and the OptiSpark for me.

Do you think I should still check them. Thanks Lee!

Start with the basics.
Check for spark at the coil and the plugs.
Check fuel pressure.
Check battery voltage, with no load and while cranking.

You can't just expect an answer, have to do a little work.

A lot of the long cranking issues I've seen is a failing fuel pump check ball. Basically, the pressure is bleeding off, so you have to build that fuel pressure back up before it will fire off.

Have you gotten this figured out yet, and does it smell like its flooding? Im positive that I cant help, but this item may be able to help somebody else figure it out, in theory if you figure yours out mine will be also, since mine is acting the same...only worse.
