Re: need some new valvetrain parts

I went with the Comp Cams Pro Magnum RR's and have 50K+ miles on them and like them. They're non-self aligning so you'll need guide plates and hardened push rods. My Pro Magnums use a stronger rocker arm stud (3/8 diameter vs. stock 7/16). The RR's also require you to trim half of the "webbing" inside your valve covers as the RR's will interfere. It's not that tough to do, just a little time consuming.

Crane makes a set of aluminum RR's that are self-aligning so you don't need guide plates, hardened pushrods or customizing of the valve covers. In my opionion they're noisier that the Pro Magnums.

I highly recommend you change your valve spings if you go with 1.6 RR's to prevent coil bind. The LT4 springs should work just fine.

Comp Cams sells stock style replacement lifters too if you think your ticking is a lifter and not just a stock rocker arm that needs adjusting.
