need some info on guideplates

im gonna be installing a set of 1.6 nsa rr soon and want to know what guideplates you guys suggest. I know that comp, crane and summit make thier own, but read alot about only using the GM performance ones.

I don't have any experience in this area but I have seen most people recommend using the GM ones.

GM's or the Isky Adjustables ... Those are your only real options.

Regular SBC ones wont work right.

Re: need some info on guideplates

I tried Comps and while it would run like that the alignment I was not happy with. Swapped to the GMPP ones and alignment is much better but still not perfect. Most of us will be happy enough with the GMPP. The more **** among us will want the Iskys.

While on the subject is this a valvespacing change ir is it inconsistency???? If it is just a different measurement then I would think we could get someone to make some plates just the right width. If it is inconsistency that is the source of the problem well we are stuck with the good enough GMPP or the adjustables.
