Hey I have a 1996 SS Camaro (automatic if it helps) and when the car is about to shift at about 2,500 RPMS I hear a loud WHAAA noise. It sounds like it is coming from the rear diff. Do any of you guys have this problem? Or have had. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

 

Does the tranny slip at all, or take a while to shift intpo gear ? All I can think off from what your saying is maybe slipping tranny. Are you sure you hear the noise from the rear end ?
