Need some expect help on heads and cam!

Well, the heads on my car have to come off to fix some dry-rotted head gaskets. While they are off, I figured I might as well get them ported and polished and install a cam also. I know I would be doing it sooner or later so now seems like the perfect time. My sister's boyfriend and father have done complete car restorations including engine build up all the time so I'm getting a really really good deal on him fixing those gaskets and the p&p. Apperently, he says he will work on them until they flow exactly what I want. Right now, I was only looking for about 400 +/- N/a Rwhp. So I was wondering about what kind of flow numbers I would need to achieve this. I don't want them to be completly "hogged" out or anything and the car needs to be able to be a summer-time daily-driver. I know I should wait until I get the heads flowed before I decide on a cam, but what ones do you think I should be looking at to achieve my goal? I'm hoping to be able to get one of the "kits" that come with everything needed for the cam install but I'm certian the hotcam won't be enough for me. Does the 306 or any of the Xe cams come in kits? And if so, where could I look at some prices. My limit for now on the cam and everything needed will be right around $700 unless I can sell some of my audio stuff localy then it will be $900-$1000. Also, I should install a Hd timing chain when I put in the cam right? Do these kits come with one, or will it be extra? I am on a budget, but luckily, I won't be driving the car from now till next spring so I'm in no rush to get everything that is needed. Is there anything else not included in those kits that I should look to purchase to? I want to do this right the first time. Also, when he does the heads, would I gain anything from having the intake ported and polished? I know atleast it should be portmatched right? But I never really see anyone on here saying they got thier intake ported and polished along with thier heads (Unless I just missed that all the time...)?

I live in Indiana so emissions aren't an issue here and will be deleted along with the Ac. I'm not concerned with gas mileage just driveability sort of. I also don't feel like reving much past 6000.. Maaaayyybbee to like 6200 or 6300 but I don't want to be rebuiding the bottom-end anytime soon after it gets back together.

Btw the mods the engine will have once it goes back together will be K/n cai, 1le intake elbow, full-length headers (not sure which ones yet, any suggestions? cheaper but still quality), y-pipe (most headers come with one right?), Orp, cut-out in the middle of the orp, and the rest of the stuff mentioned above.

Right now, I can also tell you by the end of summer next year, nitrous will go on the car. Only a 75/100 though. Already decided to take a hammer to the 125+ jets that will come with the kit. But I don't think I want a cam speficaly designed for nitrous because I know IF I use it, it would only be once or twice a season at the track.

This is a '95 M6 Camaro, just in case you missed that from my name. If there is anything else you need to know, just ask. But I don't think I forgot anything vital.

Thanks for any and all of your help and heck, just for reading this long-*** post! Any help in finding everything I need and deciding what will be right is greatly appreciated. I know this will be just the first one many posts till this gets done in the spring!
