Need RPM signal

Need RPM signal
I am looking for the RPM signal. Is there one that goes into the PCM? I know the white wire from the PCM goes to the Tach on dash but that 'circuit' is fouled at the moment. I need the signal going into the PCM so I can hook up shift light.
I am guessing there is one from the "coil area", just not real sure which one.
Can anyone help?
