I need to find out the right part number for the head gasket that is .039ths when compressed. I believe it is the same as the Impala?? It will be for a 94 Z28. Also has anyone used these gaskets on a 383 stroker?

I have a friend who runs a advance auto parts store in Delaware OH. He told me in their computers that the part numbers are the same for the Camaro/Firebird and the Impala numbers are the same and that in his computer they list them as the .039 thickness. Don't know how much truth to this but he is a pretty good guy don't think he'd lie. I wanted the thinner gaskets too and those are the ones he gave me. Go to advance or autozone and ask to compare the two. Hope this helps.

I believe the Impala's are .029" and the stock camaro's are .045"

 

I just put the fel-pro 1074 on my 383. No problems, well, except for the 8 inches of snow and blowing and drifting, but thats life in Wisconsin!!
