Need opinions on SOTP!!!!!

Hey guys, I am in the process of doing the a4 to m6 swap and I am also putting in strange 3.73's. I am trying to do everything right the first time around (don't have huge budget) with a good shifter, and a nice clutch setup. Basically I just wanted opinions on SOTP difference I am going to feel, If it all. I also have the mods in my Sig. Am I going to feel a noticable power difference? I am really excited about the swap and any insight would be great.

I doubt u will notice that much, just put a torque converter on the auto instead of switching.

Thanks for the reply. Even if I don't feel a gret deal, It makes the car a million times funner to drive then an auto. Any more opinions? I don't take it to the strip, but I do raise some hell on the streets now and then, just wondering how the car is going to feel compared to the auto with 2.73's

How much money does it cost for an A4-M6 swap? I'm just exploring options, i hate driving my A4 , its boring. I can get a pcm for $50, so thats not a problem, but im wondering about how much labor and money is involved if I do it myself. 99% change I won't do it, just wondering...

So far it has costed me:

t56 kit with all parts - 1400
Center console - 50
New slp clutch and pressure plate - $300
New Strange 3.73's - 195 (from a board member)
PCM reprogramming - 45- 50
various pigtails for wiring - 70
Short stick - 30
Aftermarket shifter - 170

total: 2265

I may be forgeting some things but i think that is pretty accurate. I am doing all the labor myself and it is very easy, I would not reccomend bringing it to a shop. Anybody with moderate general mechanical knowledge should be able to do it.

93z286speed: How do you think your car would compare to an A4 with 2.73's?

#1. Will you people quit saying much funner, you sound like the stereotypical f body owner. Try " It's much more fun".

#2. SOTP is going to be a huge difference just from the switch to a 6 spd, from a roll anyway. A 6 spd is much deadlier on the street than the auto. With the gears and the 6 spd, it should be an awesome difference.
