need opinions on final touches to 355

Just wanted to see what everyone thinks im missing. I want to run 11s on motor next season but want to do it reliably, and be able to throw nitrous to it with no problems. Just wondering if my clutch will hold up to et street launches at the track, and will the stock rear with ta girtle hold 11 second passes. Obviously wont on nitrous but I wont be getting a 12 bolt till after the season starts. Also need info on tuning and datalogging. car does have in line vortech pump. I just bought this car and the previous owner did run nitrous but not at the track. Also will be running et streets and skinneys

pretty much if you were in my shoes what would you do, to go high 11s on motor and eventually throw at least 100 shot on.

setup is in sig. 10/1 compression.

Why such low compression? You might be able to do it, but you're running slicks on a 10 bolt. Bring a trailor. I'd like to see you do it!

running stock heads with lt4 valves and valve job. Running a short belt also.

who ever built the car had it tuned at Icon, but I dont have a dyno sheet, im guessing it puts down close to 370-385hp, it also pulls hard to 6500

So you guys are saying the 10 bolt with ta girtle will be toast runing n/a with et streets?

Also how well will my Mcleod single disk hold up?

A t/a girdle wont help, i promise you that. Have you had the car dynoed, or any track numbers? Im going to say 114 ish traps on a good night, high 11's are definately possible with enough traction, but the rear wont take it.

Edit- I dont know about launching, but my friend has a cc306 at 125 shot on top and beats the **** out of his tranny, and his mcleod single holds it perfect.

you need a rear end. a m6 car with any decent amount of power will be too much for a 10 bolt. Those et streets are a no no.

Exactly, your not going to see high 11's na if you can't launch. And your not going to be able to launch that car correctly until you replace that fragile rearend. Sorry, that's just the way it is.

I figured that rear would be toast fairly easily, even with a ta girtle. So 9in or 12 bolt def. going in sooner that later.

There are also 2 suspention pieces im thinking about adding. An adjustable torque arm and a drag bar, the car already has pretty much everything else.

anyone have a clue on what hp I might be laying down currently, full bolt-on 355 with cc306 and stock heads with lt4 valves and valve job. Only think im missing is throttle body. Running hooker longtubes with custom y and cutout.

chime in if you have any tips/tricks or anything you think might help get this car ready.

He's on a 175 shot, and my mcleod single disk held 500/550+ all day at the wheels until I took off the nitrous, and is still holdin my power fine on motor. I don't do any 6k dumps at the track though.

When did he tell you that? He's been on 125 for the last few nights of racing.

Truthfully, i'd say about 350-360 rwhp. The guy im talking about made 351 with stock heads with a dynotune.
