Need information on block salvaging?
I had purchased a 97 lt1 engine and low and behold after I get it all apart it is a legit 4 bolt main.
Now on to the bad news. It had been left outside at my parents house and now exhibits surface rust on alot of the block.
Is this block a lost cause or can it be resurface and salvaged. I had plans on having it rebuilt as a 355 for a blower but Im not sure if it will make the cut now.

Not a problem. A machine shot will have a shot blaster that will take all that off. The just need to make sure they clean it out REALLY well before you get it back. The shot is like minature BBs and gets into everything
