I just got the lt4 complete spring kit, max spring lift is .525" I want to use 1.7rr's with a stock cam is that enough spring?

I am going to get the akm cable and need to know if you just download tunercat or what?

do the akm cables arrive preassembled?

You will be on the edge, if not over with 1.7 rockers, stock lift and those springs.

The Tunercat website has all the info about how to get their product.

 

I thought max lift w/stock cam and 1.7rr's = .520" or is it 1.6rr's = .520

I downloaded the evaluation copy , I hope there are more parameters to modify with the definition files.

 

If my calculations are correct, given the lift with stock 1.5 rockers is
.450 in
.460 ex

that would make 1.6
.480 in
.491 ex

and 1.7
.510 in
.521 ex

You might want someone's expert opinion if that is cutting it too close.

tunercat is relatively easy to use. get on their website (tunercat.com) and they will have order sheets. for an lt1, you'll need the "tuner" package and then a couple ecm definition files. you can download them straight off their site as soon as you pay for it.

 

I was messing wiht the evaluation copy , but it seems reather limited (i.e.- trans shift points , gear change settings), is this because I need the definition files??
