need info on ground wire! w/ pics

need info on ground wire! w/ pics

noticed this wire hanging down after my car made some really weird noises when I tried to start it today. where should it go? it is the wire with the bolt through it in the center of the picture, and the second picture is zoomed out for reference.

is my best bet to strip it down and connect it somewhere to the chassis?

That looks like the grounding lug off the passenger side fenderwell.

i think there is a ground running to the passenger motor mount. it looks to be about the right lenght to get to the mount.

Looks like the batt. cable ground to me.. Most likley the reason for the weird noise.. Car wont like it very much if the ground's not grounded! lol

If you look at the picture posted by the OP, you can see that these wires are still bolted to the block. The only other ground on this side of the block is the PCM Ground. The wire hanging is the PCM ground and needs to be bolted back to the engine.

Ooops you guys are right now that i look closer at the pic..

The only thing left in that area would be the PCM ground. Goes right above the knock sensor.

Good eye guys.. I've been drinkin since 4! lol
