I have a 94 trans am and want to put some 4.10 gears in. I am new to f-bodys and LT1's so I need your help. You see I am looking at some gears on ebay and wanted to know if these will fit and also if there will be anything else ill need to buy to have these gears installed properly? I'm pretty sure they will fit, my main concern is that I will have to buy more than just this to put them in......but im not totaly sure, do you know?

Also about how much would it cost to get these installed?

 

Yes, those will fit, but you will need an install kit, (typically $75-$100), and someone to install it.. which I've head all sorts of prices for starting at $200 up to $400. Personally I spent $0 to get mine installed, I did mine with the assistance of a family friend who's done tons of them before.

 

where can I buy the kit for the gears? also I have a flowmaster exhaust, It isnt that loud and I want to make it louder, the best way i can think of making it louder would to be to get one of those electric cut-outs where you can push a button and it will open and close. I dont know if I need one or two because of the dual exhaust, also what is the difference between a high flow cat and a regular cat, how much does a high flow cat cost? and what exactly does it do? Basically does any one have suggestions on how to make my car sound louder with flowmaster exhaust. (I dont know what size pipes I have, where do I measure the pipes or how can I find out) dont I need to know so I can get the matching size cut out?
