need help w/manifold

need help w/manifold

i have a 94 lt1 and i just bought a 95 intake manifold thinking that they are the same. but i forgot about the optispark thing. what should i do? can i cover the intake manifold port under the throttle body w/ something?? can someone plz help. thank you.

94-97 lt1 manifolds are the same.

Any vacuum port not being used can be capped

Yea cap the port or put a plug in it.

Any good hardware store should a pipe thread plug to fit the hole under the throttle body. Use some teflon tape on the threads to get a good seal.

As noted above, 94-97 manifolds have ther same ports on them. The port under the throttle body was used for the PCV valve vacuum in the 95 and later engines. Yor 94 manifold has the same hole, but it has a threaded plug in it. As far as the Opti vent vacuum connection, simply "tee" into the EGR vacuum solenoid connection.

so then can i plug the pcv valve into that small port to the right of it? and just plug up the port under the throttle body?

Here's my 94. The PCV valve is connected by a U-shaped hose to a fitting behind it. The Opti vent vacuum hose is "tee'd" into the EGR vacuum line. The port under the throttel body has a threaded plug in it, just like my original LT1 intake :
