Need help unbolting tranny

I am in the process of pulling my motor from the top. I have ran into a problem with one of the 6 bolts where the tranny mounts to the engine is rounded off.

How many bolts are on the bellhousing to seperate it if possible and pull it with the motor. Any help would be great as its the last thing I need before I can pull it.

Are you disconnecting the tranny from the bellhousing or the bellhousing from the tranny? If you are taking the bellhousing off the engine, just unbolt the tranny from the bellhousing and pull the bellhousing out with the motor. If you are taking the tranny off the bellhousing, just take the bellhousing off the motor and pull it out.

The hardest one for me is the top drivers side bolt holding the bellhousing to the block.

I too took the engine out the top. It's VERY tight fit. Make sure your radiator is out. I hooked a chain (as short as I could get it) from the front left to rear right of the block. then hook the cherry picker as far close to the front of the block as you can.

But know what? I've decided to put it back in through the bottom. That was a PITA, I don't feel like dealing with all those wires, long tubes, tranny etc. while the engine is in the car.

Thats exactly what I am trying to do. But the two bolt on the passenger side is wher I am having the problems as they are both rounded off. Looking into removing the bellhousing from the tranny and take it out with the motor. Also if I take the bellhousing off, do I have to disco the hydrolics as well? and what about the clutch fork?

I can only see 5 of the 9 bolts holding the bell housing on, is this possible to do with it still in the car?

Just pull the tranny with the engine. Thats what I did, and it was easier than trying to unbolt the two. good luck

All you should have to do is pull the slave cylinder, if you pull it all together. I think it will be much easier. I have a custom made bracket that bolts where the fuel rails go. I will ship it to you if you want to borrow it. Oh yeah, bulling the harmonic balancer will make it easier too.
