Need Help.. Ticking like loose rocker, Blew oil out valve cover
I was running the car hard tonight. After widing out 4th gear i was slowing down and when i came to a stop the car started ticking loud like a loose rocker or bent valve. Idle would dip down every so ofter like it was going to die but it would not die. Slight lose of power also, rougher acceleration and that ticking noise. It was really loud at first but when i was driving it home it lessened a lot.
I popped the hood and noticed it blew oil out of the PCV tube that connects to the throttle body on the passenger side.
It also blew oil out of the valve cover... Looks like all around the edge and even through one of the bolts that holds the valve cover on. Like there was too much pressure??? This is the drivers side only. I noticed oil splatter on the "opti spark to coil" wire and all around the back edge of the valve cover.
Could a bent valve or loose rocker cause that? Im going to take it apart tomorrow but looking for ideas before jumping in...
Also ticking increased with rpms so im sure its valvetrain related and it seemed like maybe a valve wasnt opening and closing right so it had loss of power and slightly rougher ride and idle...
Thanks for the help.

Also, a collapsed lifter.....As far as the oil bypass tube and spatter, I'm gonna lean torwards exsessive crankcase pressure. Rings maybe?

Can an intake manifold leak sound like a loud patting or ticking sound? and increase/decrease with revs?
Cuz i pulled the motor apart and found oil all up in the throttle body and in the intake manifold. also oil seeped past the gasket on the drivers side..
Was blowing smoke out the PCV tube on teh throttle body also... whitish, not very thick
