Car starts... sometimes idles high, in the 1800 range.... then as put into drive, stumbles badly, sometimes stalls, temp gauge spikes.... for about 2 minutes.... after that car runs fine, until I turn it off and start it again... Opti and Cat have been replaced in the past six months....

95Z... 129K mi... CAI, Shift Kit, and Hypertech program are only mods...



Any ideas?

i'm not really sure what would cause all of that, but i figured i would throw out some ideas

first step is always to check all your plugs and wires and ignition stuff, this stuff is always causing problems

sounds like the car calms down when it goes into closed loop, i dont know what else would explian the syptoms abruptly stopping after a few min

it sounds alot like when my cat clogged up, but you have a new one, are you sure its good?

 

Its acting like it did when my cat clogged up too... but that being said... it shouldn't go away like it does...
