i have a 94 z28 and i just changed my spark plugs and they had oil on them i found out that it is due to worn valve guides my question is how do i change my valve guides

 

Heads gotta come off and take them to a machine shop. Valve guides for LT1 heads aren't cheap.

 

What about those bronze K-Line guides...what's up with those things?

How many miles are on the car/heads? Any major valve train mods?

 

114,000 miles no major mods

 

Have you checked the seals? most of the time they go south before the guides. I've seen heads with 200k and the guides wernt that bad.

Check the seals to see if those are your culprets. If so get the gm replacements and a set of LT4 springs and retainers 75 bucks max. I bet that will clear up your problem and give you a nice up graded spring.
