Need help...looking for Headers

I'm modifying my exhaust on my 97 Z28. What's the best headers to get and where? I don't want to break the bank, but I want to do it right. Any suggestions?

Thanks.

I just check on jet-hot.com and they have LTs for 513.00 shipped to your house. This includes bolts and gaskets. The headers are coated inside and out. 513.00 isn't a bad price

What brand are they? I've seen several people on this board that have Hooker Long tubes. I've heard they are pretty good.

Hookers are good, but i really like my TPIS ( TPIS.com ) LT's I picked up right at .5 tens with these. My be alittle more but tranny was slipping that day. They cost alittle more than the Hookers, but i haven't had any problems.

I got my shorties from Jet-Hot and the finish is great. The price on the long tubes is great b/c I paid $499 for mine to my door so if u can get those at that price go for it. JMHO Matt

How much are you looking to spend? The reason I ask is because if you go with longtubes you are going to have to have a special y-pipe made. If you are on a budget then I would go with some MAC shorties.

I'm trying to modify the entire exhaust-headers,cat & cat back. From the research I've done so far, depending on if I install the headers myself, I'm going to spend $1000-$1200 easily. Does anyone make a Y pipe to go with the Hooker LT's?
