i dont see why he should buy injectors. if he plans to build a stroker later with a shot , he might have to go even bigger. that means taking a loss and hoping someone will buy them. now if hes willing to buy a injector big enough to feed his future plans , then its all good.

buying the injectors is not problem, i just want to know what combo works the best for the money and what you guys have proven that works. I am trying to get to the low 12s without spending big money now, but also be able to use this stuff for awhile on a 383 build later in the year or next year. thanks guys, help a a guy out.

Ok guys it seems like the LE2 head and Cam backage may be the way to go according to the responses, not much else has been mention. But my question is what about the intake who and what intake do I need to get, should I switch to a LT4 intake and have it ported or what. Also I guess 30 lb injectors is in order, 1.6 rr, and a heavy duty timing chain set, what else would I need for this set up. All comments and replies needed. thanks guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think the 36lb injectors will probably work with the LE2 and the 383. Just ask Lloyd if you decide to get his H/C package. He can also tell you if he can give you a cam that works fairly decent in the stock shortblock and can fit the needs of the 383. As far as the intake manifold, Lloyd ports the stocker and can get you a few more ponies that way also.

Ok here's a thought the LE2 head and cam package is stock heads ported correct????? What about if a man purchased the Trick flow heads assembled and a cam comparable to that set-up what would be the difference. If I am correct with this assumption, when I built the 383 later I could always get the Trick flows ported etc.

Your car wouldn't be much faster than the stock heads/cam with the low compression from the trickflow heads...

What he said ^^^.

Talk with Lloyd (or any other folks offering H/C packages). Ask all the questions you'd asked here. If you decide to go H/C, do everything that is necessary to make the package work, or you will be disappointed.

Perhaps something less than an LE2 package will get you where you want to go. The lower the LE number, the less money it costs to implement it. Not a ton less, but some.

They still have very large chambers, if they're even available. If you're looking for more options, check out advancedinduction.com or some other sponsers on here.

Guys Im going to give Lloyd a call tomm but heres a though>>>>>> Why spend big $$$ on the stock ported heads when I can get a set of heads outa the box that flow more? Cant I have the heads shaved to build back the compression Ive lost with the larger chambers? Ive also looked at AFR heads?

So I know that I will be changing injectors with a head change!!!!!!!

What heads are the very best bang for the buck out of the box to be able to go faster later, who knows 10,s maybe sooner than later. It just seems that I can get better than a stock head from the aftermarket?

I'll call him friday.

Id like at least 12.30s on motor, can a head, intake, cam package get me there?
