Alright when my car is cold it fires right up then runs real strong but lets say i run it for awhile then turn it off then let sit for half an hour or so still pretty warm and i go to fire it up it has trouble starting and once started it has trouble staying started if i give it gas its like it does nothing today was the worst day it took me about 5 min to get it going but then once i have it going for awhile it runs fine. I replace the fuel filter today hoping it was something ez like that but it wasnt so what could it be o yeah the ses light came on for the first time today just for a brief period so if you have any ideas please help me i love this car and want to keep it running strong thanks some ppl say it might be the o2 sensors so tomorrow im goin to go get the codes checked at autozone what codes would it show if this it true??

 

I had the same problem and no codes. On my car it turned out to be some vapor lock coming from the evap can that was not purging or holding pressure properly. I had a rotten evap hose going to the tank. It also explained the gas smell after i shut the car off. This might help you.
