Need help finding spark plug tool

Hi, I'm new here and I hope that I'm not asking an unintelligent question, but I'm trying to find out the name of or the part number for the spark plug tool for a 94 Z. I was told that it was needed for the tune up since the plugs are hard to get to and the last time it was tuned up it I paid waaay too much..

So, my question is, is this tool a dealer-ordered thing, or can I get one elsewhere, and if so where? And can I get one fast as I need to tune up the car in order to pass inspection (within ten days)...

Also, if anyone could help me out with other things that need to be done on this tune up that would be great. All I've got is the Haynes manual...

I appreciate any and all help and I defer to you all...

Thank you in advance,

SLP offers a modified socket Part no. 30102 for around $20.00. Never used one so maybe someone else can clue you in. Many on here have fabricated their own and can help you out there.

As far a tuning up for inspection, I'd get it inspected first. They will let you know why its not passing. If it doesn't pass, come back to the board for some advice.

Its not just the tools you will need to change the plugs. Members here can give you good advice on how to do the job.

If you don't take advantage of their advice, you just might still be under the car when your inspection is due.

Thanks for the part number info... and I did have it inspected and it didn't pass and the first thought the guy had was it was in need of a tune up (and it is). And the second thought was that we should replace the computer but I'm gonna have a diagnotic run on that first.

So, any and all advice on a tune up is totally appreciated guys!

We've done most of the work on this car ourselves (my husband and I) but we've yet to do a tune up.

So please, please, please your sage advice is requested!

Oh yeah, and the replace the computer thought was because it wouldn't throw codes for us here at home with our scanner, and the guy at Autozone put it on their and he said the computer was saying it was bad... but I'm not going to replace the computer just on that bit o'info...
