Man, I gotta introduce you guys to a roll of gasket material, an xacto knife, and a pair of scissors! NEVER buy a water pump gasket (or throttle body, or timing cover, or EGR) again. I've been making my own gaskets for years and years and have never had a leak or a blow out. Also, having a roll of the stuff handy sure makes it easier when you don't have to stop and run to the parts store in the middle of a swap..

Hum well I have 4 autoparts stores by me.
The gaskets don't cost that much.
But if you could make them why not.
Dam water pump gaskets look hard as hell to make.
And a timing cover gasket and throttle body.
I have to give you props for that.

I used to tint windows way back when, and you tend to get pretty good with an razor knife It's amore of a convenience thing to me than the money. I like having a whole BUNCH of gaskets for things just like this topic (gotta pull it back apart to fix a flub-up). I'm kinda unique in making things though I suppose. I like to make things like aluminum tube clamps and my throttle body cover and brackets and things. It helps to keep your fabrication skills up to date.
