Well I guess I know now how long it would last. Only for that day. Got in it Sat morning and it was dead again. Been troubleshooting all weekend and using Shoebox's website to test the signals from the PCM to the ICM. Im not getting the 4 VAC to the ICM to trigger the coil. I checked continuity from the ICM to the PCM and from the PCM to the dist. and its good there so I guess my opti is toast. Only troubling part is it wasnt throwing a code? Is it possible for the opti to be bad and not throw a code??

 

I have had opti failures that didn't set any DTC's.. and had one that set DTC 51 EEPROM failure.. that was a tricky one.. I thought it was the PCM.. but it was a dead opti.. and no DTC 16 or 36 was triggered..
