Need Help Custom Cam vs Off the shelf

OK, I've built a 383 with an Eagle forged rotating assy had the heads ported and polished, 1.6rr and I want a cam that gives me a better low-end grunt than high revving I hated my hotcam after I installed it on my Stock LT1 so what's the best for my 90% Street Driven machine?

Re: Need Help Custom Cam vs Off the shelf

you must go custom. it's well worth the little extra cost. bre bauer got me a custom billet cam for 340 which was well worth it versus paying 250 for a shelf cam. it's really the only way to go with any kind of custom setup, especially ported heads. get some flow numbers on those heads first.
