need help? confused!

Question need help? confused!

ok i got a 95 camaro and i just put a set of mac headers on it and i want to remove the egr and the air pump. ok i went to projecttransam.com and looked at that but that only says two egr hoses. i think i got three. i got one on the top of each header and one metal tube that goes to the rear of the passenger side header. are all of those egr or what. i am confused. what tubes are which.

The EGR is the rippled tube that goes from the back of the intake to the passenger side exhaust manifold. It also consists of a round solenoid fixed to the back of the manifold ajacent to the tube.

You'll need to block it off like in this diagram:

The AIR pump system is all this crap:

The fittings coming off of your manifolds are the AIR injection fittings and check valves. Just remove all of them, and find a way to plug up the header. I JB-Welded a quarter over each hole.

The two that go into the front of the stock exhaust manifolds are A.I.R. pump connections. The one at the RH back of the exhaust going to the back of the intake manifold is EGR.
