Ok guys today i was trying to get the car outa thick snow and stalled a couple times in a row, killed the battery after the fourth or fifth stall. Yea i know stupid, i just wanted to get out of the snow. Anyways i get my battery charger out to charge the battery, as soon as the terminals hit i hear a pumping noise and the meter on my battery jumps from 0 amps to around 2 amps and then to 0 and 2 and so fourth everytime that pumping noise comes. i disconnect the terminals from the charger and battery. pumping noise stops. What do you guys think is wrong?

 

ok i thought it was the air pump, it wasn't.... the previous owner had disconnected it i guess becuase the air pump wasn't plugged into the power.... and the one hose coming out of the air pump was unhooked and something else was in its place (was plugging it up i guess.) any ideas guys?!?

 

If the key was turned to the run position, it could be the fuel pump kicking on to pressurize the system.
