Need help ASAP in the middle of a motor mount change

I'm puttin in poly motor mounts and I did one side at a time. The drivers side went in with no problem, and now I'm trying to get the passenger side mount in but I cant get it lined up. It's off about 1/2 inch.

I had the same problems, I just loosened all the motor mount bolts enough to get them all started...then tightened them all one by one. Take your time, try not to get frustrated..you will get it in!!

Thats what I did and eventually got them all started. I'm leaving them all loose so i can jack up the motor a little bit to do the pan gasket tomarrow though.

....Just bought my Poly motor mounts the other day. So THIS is what
I have to look forward to??? oh well, I'll get it also.... I was going to do
mine before my headers. Should I just wait and do 'em at the same time??? Thanks, Bill

you may have to swing the trans around a little...it doesn't take much shifting side to side to throw off the bolt alignment on the mounts.

my LS1 took 10hours by myself to get installed.

do the mounts with the headers. the job should be 10x easier with the manifolds out!!! tons more room for hands and tools and wrestling the mounts in and out
