Need help with 700R4 conversion

I put a 700R4 in my friends corvette due do 1-2 shift problems.
Has anyone done this with the OBD1's?
I tried loading a M6 program in the computer so the comp wouldn't look for the 4l60E, but with the manual program loaded, the engine won't stay running, it starts, then stalls after 5 seconds.

Thanks for any help

The engine won't stay running at all or it won't stay running when it's put into gear?

The engine won't stay running at all, doesn't matter if you give it throttle, it's like the comp shuts it down.

By the way, we're from Jax originally, I've known Brent Frazier for about 10 years.

Nice. Yeah, Brent is a great guy. He seems to think every car he touches should be a race car though.

Interesting. Are you using the same computer with a different load or a completely different computer?

I swapped a 700r4 into my car. Ion @ madz28.com did my tuning via e-mail. He made a lot of changes for the cam, and emissions etc.. As far as I know, the only change he made regarding the tranismission was installing a program from an M6 car. Maybe you could try to e-mail him to see if there were any other changes that had to be made.

I think IAC values from an A4 car might help, I know when going from an A4 to a t56 this is something that needs to be addressed.

I did that swap. orig, when I finished instaling it, I had the stock tune. all was just fine exc. the speedo was WAY off. like it said 100mph whle I was really goin around 45 on the way to work. I had to get a custom tune and install an a4 tune, but delete all the functions/codes of the trans. the speedo gears in the trans are totally diff between the two. the t56 had like 20 teeth, and the 700r4 has like 10 teeth. I dont remember what the teeth count really are, but you get the idea. the speedo calibration was the only reason I needed the a4 tune. Im sure the idle tables are in there for an a4, but it idled/ran perfect for the few days I drove it after the swap, and before the tune.
