Need Help

I was changing out ECM's to see if it helped my problem. I then started the car and something sounded louder than usual. I turned off the car completely and the noise was still there. I proceeded to unplug the PCM and the noise was still there. Sounded like running hot water. Then came lots of smoke from the passenger side of the engine bay kind of under the headers. The noise didn't stop for atleast 3 minutes and then he car hesitated when trying to start. Does it sound like the starter burned up?

Re: Need Help

First one doesn't go to anything. It's a fuel pump prime connector. Second one is an ABS connector.

Re: Need Help

What exactly is the problem? You didn't reference any older post or anything.

PS: Here is a link to my thread which is the reason I am trying a different PCM...

Re: Need Help

If you had the AC on, it takes a while for the pressures to equalize. You may hear a hissing sound for about a minute or two.
Make sure the AC is off and try it again.

Re: Need Help

Nothing was on. No radio, air or anything. I pulled the key out and put it in my pocket. The sound was still really loud and then smoke started to pour out and it smelt like some electrical burning to me at least.
