need help!!

i don't know how to explain this but my car at an idol will sometimes rev up to anywhere from 1100 to 1400 rpms. thats when my car is in drive and i'm stopped at a stop light, but it only does it sometimes....then when i floor it sometimes it hesitates or "bogges" throughout the raise in the rpms. idk if its a fuel pump or a throttle position sensor or what the deal is any info is greatly appreciated.

Any ses light. Might want to try cleaning your IAC. Sometimes the pintle gets fouled up.

could be any of the problems mentioned. I'd also check for vacuum leaks.

Had a similar problem which lead back to a bad engine coolant temperature sensor because I had routed my wires too close to the ECT wiring and fried the sensor becaues of an induced voltage. I got a scan tool on it and it was dropping temperature every time it would rev up so the PCM would dump in more fuel.

That is probably not your case though I wouldn't think, but it never hurts to check. I would look towards an IAC valve and check your TPS and MAF and MAP readings if you can get ahold of a scan tool.
