I'm in the initial stages of a 396 build-up and unfortunately one of the things I have to be concerned about in this state is emmissions. I've heard that cams as large as the cc306 can be made to pass in a stroker but I think that may be a bit too large. The motor should be around 11.0-1 with my stage 2 ported heads. Driveability is somewhat of a concern also. I've considered the gmpp 846 cam mainly because it has the same duration as my present cam (222/230) but more lift (54?/56?). Can you guys tell me what cam or cams you have or are using and how is streetability? What kind of power would it make behind an a4? I don't know if this meets advanced criteria but any help/suggestions you can give will be greatly appreciated.
