Need ASAP help with CAI

Ok, So i recently bought a Holley Cold Air Intake from a fellow forum user. Well the problem is i have no idea what so ever as to how to install it. It seems like it wont fit by my Anti Lock brakes and where in the hell does the air filter go?

Thanks

Yeah lets make sure you got all the parts first. Like someone else said almost all the filters fit under the bumper. You have to take the 10 little screws out of the plastic piece under the drivers fender. Then remove the entire factory airbox assembly. Then install the hardware that comes with the CAI so it will fit into it's new assembly. Then install the CAI. Then install the filter(from under the car) to the CAI. Make sure it's very very snug so it doesn't come off. Then replace the little plastic panel. Tada!!! your all done. Then go out and see what your "Butt O Meter" thinks. Did I say THEN enough times?

Good luck,
Jason

Also I'm sure you can check out a couple install sites and they'll show you exactly how to install it with a full write up and pictures.

Ok, I will post a picture of the intake tomorow. It is a Holley cold air intake. It has the huge filter, the holley plastic tube that connects to the MAF. I also got the rubber pieces that connects them together. This is all that i got, but i will try and figure it out again tomorow.
Thanks

When I did my Homemade 4" CAI, I had to move the ABS thingy out of the way, I made a very simple bracket so that it could be bolted lower and away from the radiator. So maybe you are right, it is in the way. It wasnt hard at all to do, took maybe an hour. CAI is well worth the effort.

My K&N FIPK went in without a hitch. I had to move nothing. I didn't even have to push something out of the way. It might be different with yours though.

From the instructions that came with the SLP CAI I put in my 97 yesterday..."To guide the induction tubes past teh bleeder screw on teh ABS valve pull the radiator forward on the driver's side." (Removing the three screws along the top of the shroud will give you enough play to do this"...dont know if it will help your Holley system clear but you can give it a try.

Does anyone have any installation pics of possibly a holley cold air intake or another cold air intake. I am curious about how it fits down into the cubby.

Hopefully It will work out though. I guess i will find out tonight.

Thanks

The Holley CAI is fairly short.....I don't think it could be called a real "cold air" intake, because it isn't long enough.

Well, I finally got the Intake on. I guess I was suppose to use my original piping as well as the Holley piping. The filter now sticks down into the empy shroud where there is plenty of cold air. In fact the filter stuck down so far that it was hard putting the black shroud back on. But now it is really pimp. The holley intake filter is huge!! I also have a paxton supercharger elbow which is pimp as well. I will take some pics of it all soon, but how do i post the pictures?

Also, how do i clean the holley filter, or do i have to replace it?
